On my last day of work at the Oberlin Public Library, one of our awesome patrons, Barb, brought me balloons and and candle gift basket. HOW SWEET!!
I also got one more picture with Charlotte <3
I said goodbye to my coworkers the best way I knew how...with food!
Che let me keep my name badge. I'm so going to miss the OPL
A few hours after my last day, I met with my handsome fiance for pre-cana and to set our wedding date:
A few days later, Stefan had to get a tooth out. His handsome face was a bit funny looking, so, being a good fiance, I took lots of pictures:
A few days after that, Stefan and I packed up and headed east to spend time with my family in Philadelphia. We took the obligatory "we're in the car leaving for philly" selfies:
When we arrived in philly, I had the parents take a selfie with us:
After a relaxing dinner with my parents, Stefan was introduced to the extended family. He did really well and totally kept his cool!
The next morning dad made delicious delicious doughnuts!
To help burn off all of the doughnut calories, Stefan and I went to the gym, and afterwards, mom showed us the venue for our philly wedding open house. Here's the kitchen:
In the afternoon, we had an amazing 4th of July BBQ at aunt Jessica's. Sadly, i forgot to take pictures. I did take some selfies when we got home:
The next morning, Stefan and I got up early and caught the train into Philadelphia. Mom and dad were sweet enough to buy us all day septa passes!! Here's us at Jefferson station in downtown philly:
We went to a beautiful old church in downtown philly on 13th and market:
After church, we went to the hard rock cafe to get a few shirts for Stefan (as mentioned in a previous blog, he collects hard rock shirts):
After that we headed over to the Liberty bell and got some great pictures!
We then went across the street to the Independence Visitors center for souvenirs and more pictures!!
And one cannot leave Philly without getting a cheese steak. We went to Reading Terminal Market and Stefan got a Pizza Cheesesteak
In the evening, Stefan and I hung out with Joel and Kristin (I forgot to take pictures, so here's a representation of Joel and Kristin):
Stefon got to see why I think Joel is the coolest!! Before we left the next morning, dad made waffles and bacon and eggs. Stefan and I had an amazing time and really enjoyed meeting my wonderful family.

I'm ENGAGED!!!!!! And I got a new job!!! It's been a good week
It has been a wonderful couple of weeks. On June 13 I was lucky enough to grab lunch with Stefan at Fat Heads
After lunch I got to see Stefan in the play The Producers. Stefan was in the pit orchestra and did AMAZING!!
The next day, Sunday June 14 was our 6 month anniversary. After I got done work Stefan told me to dress up for one of his gigs that we were going to. I got dressed up (and looked cute!)
We had a few minutes before Stefans gig, so we dropped by huntington beach to walk around. We walked down to the beach, but because of impending thunderstorms, the life guards told us we couldn't be on the beach. So we walked around a bit longer until we found a bench overlooking the lake. I said "Let's sit here for a while" to which Stefan replied "I'd prefer you stand for just a minute." He said some really sweet things and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. A sweet old woman was walking by and said "Can I take a picture for you?" Yes!!!
Since we were only 5 minutes from his parents house, we broke the news to Stefan's family first (and my family was a close second!) I'm so excited to be getting such an amazing mother-in-law and sister-in-law!!
Stefan's mom gave us a gift card to TGIFridays. Of course I was raving about my ring and showing it off (as evidenced by the picture), so they gave us a free ice cream sunday to congratulate us!!
Over the next few days I took hundreds of pictures of my AWESOME new ring. Stefan picked it out all by himself and did an AMAZING job. I couldn't have picked out a better one. BEST FIANCE EVER!!
A few days later I met up with my matron of honor, Mitch and I even got MITCH HUGS (the best kinds of hugs!!)
On Thursday I was offered a full time job at a prestigious university in their law library! It took me 4 months of interviewing to get this job, so I was relieved to say the least! The next day I tendered my resignation at Oberlin Public Library:
That weekend Stefan still had multiple runs of The Producers going, so while he was working I had Mitch, Dom and KW over to help me celebrate my engagement/new job by playing Adventure time Munchkins. Dom KILLED us all in the first round and Mitch won in the second round.
It's been a good week. While I'm excited to be engaged, I'm even more excited about the fact that I've found my soulmate...I've found the one I want to spend forever with <3

Trampolines, Food, Earrings, Jobs (or lack thereof), Bowling, Food and Music.
A couple of weeks ago, Stefan surprised me by taking me out to Skyzone, an indoor trampoline gym. It was super fun...right up until I busted my left knee and Stefan rolled his ankle. While we were taking a break from jumping, Stefan went to put his arm around me and accidentally pulled out an earring which flew below the trampolines. Lol sigh. Other than that, look how much fun:
Afterwards we went back to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner, the mellow mushroom in Rocky River for salad and calzones. Yummmm.
The next day, Sunday, I went to work, and was surprised by Stefan who had purchased me a new set of earrings to replace the ones lost at Skyzone. HOW SWEET?! Right?!!
Believe it or not, my life does not 100% revolve around Stefan. I've been applying for jobs and going on interviews. Look how cute my interview outfit is:
When I get a job rejection, I tend to deal with it by reading. Thank goodness for the Way of Kings. It'll be there for me to read for the next couple of weeks (as it's over 1,000 pages). Yay for finding comfort in books.
Our Wednesday date last week was Bowling and Applebees. I won the first round of bowling by 10 and Stefan won the second round by 10!
Stefan got a last minute gig with the True North Orchestra, and they did great!! It was 3 hours, but it was a fun 3 hours!
We had some other minor dates, that I forgot to take pictures of, like dinner and talking or just reading Harry Potter together. Every moment with Stefan is a wonderful moment. Tonight I'm working and Stefan is playing with his Oompa band, so we had to push our Wednesday night date back to Thursday.
