Ever since I've started dating Stefan, we've been going out and doing a lot...SO...if I don't blog for a couple of weeks I end up with an overwhelming amount of stuff to blog. Sigh. Having a boyfriend is the worst ;)
A few weeks ago, Stefan and I went to see the movie Get Hard.
While we were waiting for the movie to start Stefan (being the awesome boyfriend that he is), noticed that my purse was falling apart. Literally. The faux leather on the outside was flaking off. He said, let's go get you a new purse after the movie...AND HE DID!!! Stefan seriously spoils me. My one rule for a purse was: It needs to be able to fit a book in it. Stefan picked out a new wallet for himself while we were shopping.
Afterwards Stefan splurged and took me out to dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. I got a DELISH salad while Stefan got the steak. All the yums!!
Our next date was a lot more laid back. We made went for a 2.5 mile walk, then came home to make dinner (steaks again), with broccoli. I made a steak in a pan (bottom), while Stefan cooked one using the George Foreman grill (top):
We cut the steaks in half and we each got to try the different steaks. Honestly, I liked Stefan's method of cooking the best (even though it was well done). The plate with the most broccoli was mine:
Stefan and I had been working our way through the book the Giver. After finishing it, and filling our bellies with steak, we watched the movie. It wasn't bad, but we both liked the book much better (sorry dad).
For our most recent date, Stefan surprised me by taking me out to swings and things for mini golf. It was fun, although I learned that I do not really enjoy it. Towards the end I was getting frustrated and had Stefan take my putts for me. After that he played some ski-ball and won me these AWESOME BRACELETS!!
Stefan, later took the blue one to wear, so now we both have ski-ball bracelets <3
After min-golf, we came home and changed into fancy clothes, took a few selfies:
and jetted off to dinner. It was actually a bit of a sad dinner. Every Tuesday, Stefan meets at Amber Oaks to rehearse with Swing City. Every Tuesday for 7 years, he would go to Amber Oaks. He found out, the day before our date, that it was closing. Stefan said, "I wanted my last memory of this place to be with you". How sweet, yet sad :(
Can you guess what we ordered? Yup, Steaks.
Tuesday last was super busy. I had a "congrats, you graduated from MLIS program" event at Kent state. I ran into my friend Danni and her girlfriend Tricia. So much fun:
I then booked it over to Vosh to see my sweetheart play a Swing City gig. All the swoons for my handsome boyfriend:
For yesterdays date, after all of the Steak we've been eating, we took a break, and made Chicken and broccoli (and rice for Stefan). After dinner we watched the first Terminator. It was awesome!
Believe it or not, I do stuff by myself too! I went to the Oberlin Public Library booksale and bought so much awesomeness:
I'm also working on the couch to 5k program. I just finished week 5, which means I jogged (really, really, REALLY slowly) for 20 min straight!!!!
Hopefully I'll be posting an exercise/weight loss blog in the next couple of weeks.
Next week is going to be sad as Stefan is practicing for an upcoming pit orchestra gig, so we won't have much time together. My next blog will probably be selfies of me cuddling with books. Actually, that's probably what it will be. Get excited!

Music, Forts, Sickness
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to go to a play that Stefan's mom was putting on. During intermission, Stefan and his friend James played some awesome swing music!
The next day Stefan said I could plan a date. We went to the Macaroni Grill for dinner, then came back to my place to build a fort (I'm all about being cheap). In preperation for the date, I dragged my mattress into the living room.
and then using blankets and clothes pins and safety pins, Stefan and I created our masterpiece!
I put my laptop in our fort and we watched X-men first class. Super fun!!
The next day, Sunday, I became super sick. I was literally out of comission all week. Thank goodness I have an amazing boyfriend who brings me diet ginger ale,
and tissues
After a week of being laid up and missing work, I was finally feeling functional. I missed Easter dinner with Stefan's family because I didn't want them to catch what I had. I was so sad. His mom was sweet enough to send Stefan home with leftovers for me (and they were AMAZING!!!!) Speaking of amazing. Look at my handsome new boyfriend! He looks so different with this haircut.
Wednesday last was date night. We went for a 2 mile walk before dinner. We needed the extra exercise as we were making a meatza for dinner. A pizza, but instead of a crust, it's a bacon weave. You can tell how delicious it was by how happy we are!
The next few weeks will be fairly uneventful. I'm mainly working on finishing up internship paperwork...hooray :( I am so close to being finished with my MLIS. SOON....soon.

Family, bdays, crafts, dates, and disasters
Back in early March I finally got to meet Stefan's siblings. We got to Buca Di Beppo a little early, so, of course we had to take selfies.
It was so much fun! Stefan has some really funny, upbeat, smart and witty siblings! They were really just awesome people who made me feel welcome right away! So, not only is my boyfriend wonderful, but he has a great group of siblings!
Next up was Stefan's birthday. Luckily it fell on a day that I didn't have school, so, I swung by his work with a bacon wrapped birthday pizza for lunch!
For the past month or so, I had been working dedicatedly on crocheting a blanket for Stefan's birthday. It's kinda a dumb present, but he was so nice about it and seemed to genuinely enjoy it!
I then took Stefan to the Hard Rock Rocksino for his birthday. Stefan collects the hard rock shirts and didn't have one from the rocksino yet, so, we went and had dinner and bought him a shirt! HE was so surprised and had a blast!!
For our next date, Stefan surprised me and took me to Artist for a Day. We picked out goblets and decorated them for each other. I made Stefan a bad ass goblet of fire, while he customized my goblet with my name and books and hearts (so sweet)!!
Next weekend Stefan had a gig with his German band. He was so sick! He was coughing and congested and I wouldn't have been surprised if it was a bit feverish too....yet he still went to his gig. Because I had bought a ticket, I got dressed up and went over to listen to some oompapa music.
I could not get a great picture of Stefan, so, it's more a game of where's waldo trying to find stefan in the pictures/video I took. Can you find him?
To help Stefan feel better, I made him some chocolate chip banana bread. I have yet to successfully cook him anything, and this was no exception. I managed to drop it on the floor, but it was mostly salvageable, so I gave it to him anyway, and he was a good sport about it.
Speaking of cooking, I found a recipe for bacon wrapped cheese sticks so I tried making them. While they look a mess, they sure tasted delicious!
For St. Patrick's day, Stefan had one hour between work and band practice, and he used that hour to come hang out with me! Seriously, how sweet is he?!
We usually have dinner together on our Wednesday date nights, and this past week, Stefan did the cooking. We had bacon cheeseburgers! I had an egg on mine, and no bun, while stefan had a double cheeseburger!
To help burn off all of those cheesy hamburger calories, I've been trying to go to the gym. Can I just take a minute to tell you how much I LOVE planet fitness? I splurged and got the 20 dollar a month membership and it has made all of the difference! Using the massage chairs after working out leaves me feeling happy, and so far, has prevented any major back problems which I usually get when I start working out.
For our last date, to help me celebrate finishing my classes for the semester, Stefan took me to a restaurant that his mom recommended. It is called Mellow mushroom. Stefan got a build your own calzone while I did a build your own salad. Everything was SO delicious!!
I'll be meeting Stefan's mom on friday, and will be spending Easter with their family in a few weeks. It's been a wild ride so far and I can't wait to see what the futre with Stefan holds!
