July Blog

At the end of our philly trip I had mom trim my hair.  I totally asked her to trim it too short and this happened:

It needed layers, so I got it professionally cut, but it's still a lot shorter than I would like.  Turns out, short hair is not my cup of tea.

After 7 months, I'm still head over heals for this guy:

Stefan and I reserved our reception hall.  Here's a picture of the location, with my handsome fiance and his beautiful mom:

After reserving the location, we went back to Stefan's parents house...WHERE WE SAW TURKEYS!!!!

I started my new job.  This was the view on my walk to orientation:

And here's an even better view of yours truely on orientation day:

Along with a lot of helpful information, I also received a spork at orientation!

The next day was my first day of actual work.  I, once again, just had to take a selfie:

For lunch, to celebrate the 2 new hires, we had a pot luck.  Someone even went to cook hamburgers and hot dogs.  It was amazing!!

That weekend, Stefan and I went to bed bath and beyond to setup our registry:

Towards the end of setting up the registry, it got weird.  Poor Stefan.  I pulled this Anna (from frozen) hat and made him wear it.  Stefan is such a good sport!!

I was so exhausted after setting up the registry that I asked Stefan if we could go out for lunch.  He, being amazing, took me to Harry Buffalo, and was even a little silly <3

After lunch we went to walmart to setup our registry.  I guess you can only do Walmart registry's online.  That was fine by me.  It was a lot easier to just search for, and add, what we needed to the registry.

That evening, after we were all done registering for things,  I went to see Stefan in Barnum.  We got there a little early so we went out for coffee.  Giving Jnet coffee is obviously a poor choice.

Stefan was GREAT in Barnum...although you can see for yourself!!

Nothing much has been going on.  We're down to 3 months and 1 week until our wedding!

Since I had to pack stuff up while my house is being painted, Stefan agreed to let me start moving my non-essentials over to his place.  So far I've moved my books and DVD's.  I figure if we slowly move stuff over the next 3 months, the final move in won't be too bad...plus, less clutter = easier to sell condo!!

Last Day of Work, Teeth and Philly Trip

On my last day of work at the Oberlin Public Library, one of our awesome patrons, Barb, brought me balloons and and candle gift basket.  HOW SWEET!!

I also got one more picture with Charlotte <3

I said goodbye to my coworkers the best way I knew how...with food!

Che let me keep my name badge.  I'm so going to miss the OPL

A few hours after my last day, I met with my handsome fiance for pre-cana and to set our wedding date:

A few days later, Stefan had to get a tooth out.  His handsome face was a bit funny looking, so, being a good fiance, I took lots of pictures:

A few days after that, Stefan and I packed up and headed east to spend time with my family in Philadelphia.  We took the obligatory "we're in the car leaving for philly" selfies:

When we arrived in philly, I had the parents take a selfie with us:

After a relaxing dinner with my parents, Stefan was introduced to the extended family.  He did really well and totally kept his cool!

The next morning dad made delicious delicious doughnuts!

To help burn off all of the doughnut calories, Stefan and I went to the gym, and afterwards, mom showed us the venue for our philly wedding open house.  Here's the kitchen:

In the afternoon, we had an amazing 4th of July BBQ at aunt Jessica's.  Sadly, i forgot to take pictures.  I did take some selfies when we got home:

The next morning, Stefan and I got up early and caught the train into Philadelphia.  Mom and dad were sweet enough to buy us all day septa passes!!  Here's us at Jefferson station in downtown philly:

We went to a beautiful old church in downtown philly on 13th and market:

After church, we went to the hard rock cafe to get a few shirts for Stefan (as mentioned in a previous blog, he collects hard rock shirts):

After that we headed over to the Liberty bell and got some great pictures!

We then went across the street to the Independence Visitors center for souvenirs and more pictures!!

And one cannot leave Philly without getting a cheese steak.  We went to Reading Terminal Market and Stefan got a Pizza Cheesesteak

In the evening, Stefan and I hung out with Joel and Kristin (I forgot to take pictures, so here's a representation of Joel and Kristin):

Stefon got to see why I think Joel is the coolest!!  Before we left the next morning, dad made waffles and bacon and eggs.  Stefan and I had an amazing time and really enjoyed meeting my wonderful family.
