Philly Trip 3 - Atlantic City

Rich and I decided to spend all day Tuesday in Atlantic City.

While the weather was HORRIBLE (read overcast, bitterly cold and dreary), we still had a really fun time.  The first thing we did was go to the ocean:

Turns out Rich is not a huge fan of the ocean, but with some coaxing we got close enough to touch it, get our shoes (accidentally) wet, and run away!

We decided to go to the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum.  Rich, being quite the gentleman paid for our admission.  The first thing we saw was Michael Jordan...there's something special about it, but I can't remember what:

Next we took pictures next to a replica of the worlds tallest man.  I barely came to his waist, while Rich was well above his belly button:

Rich, being a history buff was super excited to see a strand of George Washington's hair!

There was a little old lady and man statues, which looked super realistic, but weren't.  The lady was posing and the man's camera would flash when you walked by (making you think you had photobombed the picture!!)

There were lots of little game throughout.  Rich played one where you squeeze uncle sams hand and he tells you something...I don't remember what, but it made for a good photo!

One of the mini games was broken.  I liked the "out of order" sign so much I had to take a picture:

No Rich!  It's broken!  Don't give it money!!

There was a treasure chest in the middle of one of the rooms that said "open at your own risk".  Since Rich is obviously the brave one in the relationship, he opened it while I took a video:

At the end of Ripleys there was a Lazer game, where you had to crawl, mission impossible style, thru lazers to hit a button at the end.  Rich did pretty well considering how tall he is (kids would be the best at this game!!)

We continued to walk along the boardwalk until we saw a sign for deep fried pickles.  Rich LOVES pickles, so we had to stop.  He enjoyed the immensely

We couldn't go to Atlantic City and not gamble.  We hit up the Showboat Casino to play some slots.

Part way thru playing, Rich leans over and says "Uh...look"  He had put 20 dollars in the machine and was up to 118 dollars.  I leaned over and hit "cash out"!!  YAY RICH!!  Rich is Rich!!!

After his windfall of cash, Rich bought us a fancy meal at Revel's Sky Cafe.  While the food was good, the wait time to be seated, order and recieve food was horrendous!  We were there well over an hour.  Rich got a mushroom bisque (which he shared with me.)  It was super duper yum!

We drove home sleepy and exhausted, but happy after a long day of fun!
